Our UK operation employs approximately 1200 people and we’re currently looking for an experienced Business Development / Account Manager to join our UK sales team.

What is this role all about?

As the Regional Account Manager;

  • you will be responsible for all matters related to developing revenue growth amongst corporate clients within Scotland as well as providing a top class service to our current corporate client portfolio.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of service and level of customer care that is provided to all corporate customers across the region as well as working closely with other members of the UK and European sales teams to build profitable business.

  • Identifying and winning new business is a key part of the role. You will be also be responsible for meeting volume and contribution targets in line with the company objectives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

To succeed in this position we really want to hire somebody who has a good mix of business development and account management skills.


  • Revenue Growth in line with BP targets

  • Incremental Revenue Development Initiatives

  • Management of the Cost of Sale

  • Effective Management of the Portfolio Receivable Position

  • New Business Generation

  • Exploiting new Market Opportunities

Major Accountabilities:

  • New Business Pipeline Development

  • Navigator (CRM System) Input

  • Account Management – Domestic and European

  • Domestic Account Responsibility (UK Negotiated)

  • European Account Responsibility (Negotiated outside the UK)

  • Account Administration/Record Keeping

  • Preparation of Complex high value proposals

  • Negotiation of New and Existing Contracts

  • Monitor Profitability of Portfolio on ongoing basis in line with agreed parameters

  • Ensure Long Term Relationships are Maintained

  • Implementation of new/existing contracts

What do we need from you?

  • Preferably to degree level with a ‘A’ Level or similar

  • Prior sales experience including account management.

  • Good understanding of business practice.

  • Energetic and self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
