General Responsibilities

European Sales Operations Analyst

Location: UXBRIDGE (UK) or DUBLIN (Ireland)

European Sales Operations Analyst reporting to Director European Sales Strategy & Operations

As a key member of a centralised team, the European Sales Operations Analyst supports the Global Sales organisation analysing, loading, amending and managing the European rates and fees of multi-million-dollar contract and insurance replacement accounts; maintaining the database within the Hertz in-house systems to specific quality and productivity measures within tight deadlines and agreed SLAs. This role also involves creation of proposals and negotiation packs, responding to bids and tenders (RFP, RFQ, RFI), reporting & analysis and a variety of other functions to support the sales community.

The holder of this role works closely with Sales and in-country Sales Administration teams globally and supports personnel at all levels within other departments of the Hertz organisation.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Rates System Database Management:

  • Create new accounts and Customer Discount Programme (CDP) numbers in the Hertz in-house systems.

  • Analyse and load corporate, replacement and multi-month rates and associated fees negotiated by the Global sales teams for vehicle rentals within Europe, Middle East and Africa.

  • Liaise with Global teams ensuring timely and accurate loading of rates and fees in other regions.

  • Load non-standard Fuel plans and build One-Way pricing matrices.

  • Load and maintain generic rates programmes and packages used for and by SMEs and Business Travel Agencies

  • Perform data clean-up, deleting redundant or dormant rates and accounts.

Data Integrity and compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with process and policy and ensure all implementation documentation is loaded into the current CRM (Salesforce) database.

  • Ensure all requests have necessary approvals and senior sign-off prior to loading

  • Comply with all audit requests

Documentation Production:

  • Creation and maintenance of an implementation pack for pan-European accounts, summarising details of the implementation including Rates Agreements, plan numbers and itemised non-standard fees.

  • Create pricing proposals and complete documents for Pan European RFP, RFQ, RFI & Tender requests; assist with information and rate gathering for in-country negotiated requests.

  • Run sales data reports; analyse reporting data and make recommendations for actions based on results.

Rates & Systems Testing:

  • Test rates once loaded to ensure they are working as expected and no implementation mistakes.

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression testing prior to releases for new functionality and bug fixes.

  • Liaise with System Business Analysts to report bugs and request programming and coding changes.

  • Participate in testing efforts for new systems prior to roll-out.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Fluency in English language – both written and oral

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills – must be highly numerate and be able to calculate percentages. Good mental arithmetic skills essential

  • Advanced Excel Skills

  • Travel Industry / Car Hire knowledge an advantage

  • Hertz Reservation or Rates Systems Knowledge an advantage
