The Hertz Corporation Maintenance Manager in Uxbridge, United Kingdom
Our International Head Quarters based in Uxbridge employs approximately 350 people with over 23 different nationalities and we’re currently looking for a Maintenance Manager.
The UK Maintenance Manager is responsible for a team of 6 staff based at the Uxbridge Head Office, managing a budget of approximately $6m per year.
Working with the European Maintenance Director and Fleet Acquisition Director to plan and agree annual (BP) and Monthly (CE) financial targets. The objective being to work within set financial targets.
Driving continuous improvement in Maintenance, Administration and Procurement processes.
Executing vehicle maintenance to the optimised balance of cost, time and quality standards.
Own NoRev within MM, monitoring status and delivering continuous improvement.
Offer advice and support to FNOL in the collection of customer damage charges.
Support Rental Operations with local maintenance solutions as well as attending Area Meetings.
Maintain database of vehicle service history.
Support the implementation of the Hertz Global Maintenance Platform
Develop and execute plans to optimise the maintenance organisation, control and distribution of repaired vehicles to meet company objectives and customer requirements. Negotiate favourable repair costs.
Support the Procurement team and the Fleet Acquisition Director in negotiations and building supplier/manufacturer relationships.
Responsible for the effective management of MM for the fleet. Ensure that all the repairs are made in compliance with the OEM standards.
Manage maintenance vendor relationships.
Fleet Planning (Availability)
Oversee the co-ordination of fleet systems Mars/ Oracle / One-link support and reporting.
Accountable for ensuring fleet volume returned to the location and mix fleet repaired available to meet business requirements on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Identify, improve and innovate processes within Procurement, Administration, Contract Management and Fleet Maintenance
- Develop staff to realize their full commercial and personal potential in a spirit of openness and innovation. Set objectives and embrace performance management of all direct reports via the performance management process.
- Provide up to date and relevant information to all stakeholders e.g. Financials CE/BP reports, details of repairs to FNOL, damage matrix input.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
GCSE Level Maths / English at minimum.
IMI accreditation preferred
Experience of managing a Maintenance Department within a large Vehicle Rental or Contract Hire company or similar preferred
Experience in financial planning and reporting essential.
Track record of process improvement and cost saving essential.
Entrepreneurial experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
Experience of working with OEM’s
