UK Maintenance Manager
The UK Maintenance Manager is responsible for a team of 6 staff based at the Uxbridge Head Office, managing a budget of approximately $6m per year.
Your journey at Hertz:
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that the core function of Maintenance (excluding Body Damage) is in line with operational requirements and business plan targets and that all aspects of the process are compliant with Company Procedures and in accordance with Maintenance contracts.
Working with the European Maintenance Director and Fleet Acquisition Director to plan and agree annual (BP) and Monthly (CE) financial targets.
Driving continuous improvement in Maintenance, Administration and Procurement processes.
Executing vehicle maintenance to the optimised balance of cost, time and quality standards.
Own Vehicle Off Road time within Maintenance, monitoring status and delivering continuous improvement.
Support Rental Operations with local maintenance solutions as well as attending Area Meetings.
Support the implementation of the Hertz Global Fleet Platform
The Role: Taking the Wheel at Hertz:
Develop and execute plans to optimise the performance of the Maintenance organisation.
Manage vendor relationship and negotiate favourable repair costs.
Oversee the co-ordination and correct use of fleet systems: 1Link, Oracle, and MARS
Develop staff to realise their full commercial and personal potential in a spirit of openness and innovation.
Set objectives and embrace performance management of all direct reports via the performance management process.
Deliver vehicles is a safe and well-presented condition, in compliance with all legal and manufacturer-recommended guidelines.

KPI 1 Plan and meet financial targets, optimising SMR costs per unit vs previous year
KPI 2 Maintain and improve Vehicle Off Road (NoRev) performance
KPI 3 Develop and implement structural change plan (Project ONE)
Your Skills: What puts you in the driving seat?
You will need professional experience...
Managing a Maintenance team within a large car and commercial vehicle fleet.
Demonstrable experience in financial planning, systems and reporting.
Track record of process improvement and cost control.
...along with advanced knowledge of:
Fleet Management systems, reporting and integrations
Working with OEM’s and major fleet vendors.
- A minimum of at least GCSE Level Maths/English
