General Responsibilities

Brand Marketing Intern - Uxbridge

With line management from the Brand Communications Manager and Brand Marketing Director, the Brand Marketing Intern will be part of the Brand Marketing Team, which is part of the wider Hertz Europe Marketing department.

The intern will have the opportunity to experience and gain a better understanding of brand marketing, both generally and in relation to the car rental sector specifically. The individual’s key responsibility is to assist with the co-ordination and implementation of marketing plans, products and promotions.

They will be a creative thinker and have the opportunity to assist in the development and co-ordination of content for EMEA promotions, campaigns and plans, ensuring they are brought to life through a variety of Hertz marketing channels. They will work with other teams within the central marketing function and with local markets as and when required.

Work will primarily focus on the Hertz brand, but will cover the Dollar, Thirty and Firefly brands also.

The candidate will also help with administrative tasks essential to the smooth-running of a marketing department, such as report building.

The Hertz marketing ecosystem includes an in-house agency, Hertz Engine, and this role will enable the intern to learn about how various models are built and operated.

Main Responsibilites:

  • Provide support for the development, co-ordination and implementation of promotions and campaigns across Hertz international channels, delivered within timelines set.

  • Support with day-to-day administrative tasks such as managing the department budgets, report generation and presentation-building using PowerPoint and other Microsoft products.

  • ay-to-day liaison with the in-house Marketing Agency, Hertz Engine.

  • Coordinate creative, translation and copy requirements for activity with appropriate teams.

  • Manage the delivery of assets to 3rd party partners.

  • Manage web content for Hertz channels, partner microsites and franchisees via a range of content management tools including Interwoven, AEM, Double Click and Google Analytics.

  • Provide ad hoc marketing support for In-Country and other parties, including the development and production of marketing materials/ POS.

Educational background:

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

Skills:

  • Strong interest or understanding of marketing, digital media and brand management.

  • High attention to detail and process driven

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • Fluent written English language skills

  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to think and plan combined with good day-to-day management

  • Adaptable whilst working in a multi-cultural environment

  • Experience of using content management tools desirable but not essential

  • Familiarity of basic Microsoft Packages
