Revenue Manager -Uxbridge
This is the key managerial layer within the Revenue Management organisation. Working with their Revenue Management Analysts the Revenue Manager is responsible for driving Revenue and Revenue Per Unit improvement across all brands (Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly as appropriate by country) by engaging with the key stakeholders in Fleet, Operations and Sales to drive the best use of the pricing and yield systems (hereafter known as CMS and RMS) to maximize yield and minimize transporter costs. . They should maintain excellent working relationships with in-country senior management teams and attend their team meetings as appropriate.
Deliver and own revenue. Responsible for both forecasting revenue and for setting the budget, including detail of Transactions, Length, Days and Revenue Per Day by Segment. Monitor revenue performance during the month and advise country of likely outcomes. Attend weekly Transient Meetings to review revenue.
Work with Financial Planning to set and maintain revenue budgets and forecasts. Decision maker for revenue.
Attend International Business Reviews with the International Senior Management Team to represent revenue. Be the point of contact for all pricing and revenue related issues and keep senior management briefed on issues arising where appropriate.
Own and drive CMS and RMS. Review the CMS Forecast daily to ensure the recommendations provided are based on a solid projection of both future business conditions and the operational realities of the business. Decide and input demand influences and/or changes to key system parameters as necessary based on any key findings. Keep RMS configuration current and review the system regularly to drive the maximum yield. Monitor and plan for holidays and special events up to two years ahead.
Drive a daily call with Logistics to review and act on recommendations from CMS. Attend the country pricing huddles, lead the weekly Fleet Planning Workshops.
Create the Fleet Mix plan. Deliver the Total Operating Fleet (TOF) to the Fleet Planning Team on a monthly basis and calculate the mix requirements for the budget setting process as required. Review actual versus desired fleet mix with country management monthly and take/recommend action to address issues arising. Manage the administration of all car and van group additions and deletions.
Work with Marketing to develop and drive the performance of Premium Fleet and Collections and to maximize the yield from promotional activity. Be the key point of contact for deciding promotional activity. Understand and report on the success of promotional activity undertaken
Work with Sales and Operations to ensure overall Revenue Per Unit is maximized and on rent peaks and troughs are smoothed out as much as possible.
Manage the revenue by Segment in order to maximize overall yield.
Manage static Tour Pricing changes through reviews with the Tour product manager.
Lead a team of Revenue Management Analysts – developing their skills through example and training
Maintain the relationship with brokers and Online Travel Agents by attending calls and meetings as appropriate.
Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent required; preferably in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing Analytics, or Revenue/Hospitality Management. Advanced degree in aforementioned fields of study strongly desired.
Experience within a complex, demand/supply planning environment
Process innovation and development; management via KPIs
Knowledge of inventory management, revenue optimisation and forecasting systems, processes and strategies
Strong knowledge and experience working in a role focused on business analytics, modelling or similarStrong analytical skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to ramp up quickly on data and become an expert across our different lines of business.
Demonstrated proficiency in SQL against relational databases like SQL Server or Teradata. Hive/Hadoop/AWS experience a plus
Experience using Tableau, Qlikview or other data visualization software
Experience and/or understanding of hypothesis testing (AB/Multivariate methodologies) a plus ideally, data-mining and SQL capabilities.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills are essential
