The Hertz Corporation Strategy Analyst in Uxbridge, United Kingdom

General Responsibilities

The Hertz Europe Strategy Analyst supports and guides strategy development within Strategy, Sales & Marketing through the collation, analysis and presentation of data. Using key analytics tools and utilising internal and external data sources, this role leads innovation & drives actionable recommendations, interacting with all levels of management throughout Hertz Europe to deliver long-term growth. This role will have significant exposure to senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations to drive company performance.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Analysis, forecasting & reporting of economic & market trends and competitor performance

  • Create, own & cascade regular reports within agreed SLAs / deadlines

  • Prepare summaries of findings, trends & forecasts of performance

  • Present analysis at regular leadership meetings

  • Deep-dive analysis into specific topics as per business requirements

  • Provide expert knowledge on the state of the market, Hertz performance and opportunities to improve

  • Understand drivers of profitability for sales, marketing & operations, highlighting outliers

  • Give recommendations to improve performance utilising data driven insights

  • Support creation of business, brand & product strategies

  • Use knowledge & data to lead product, service & wider business innovation

  • Own positioning of new developments and influence key internal stakeholders

  • Conduct detailed analysis of business units and M&A opportunities at the request of senior leadership

Education

  • Degree qualification preferred

  • Numerate with good mathematical skills

Knowledge

  • Fluency in English language both written & oral

  • Computer literate

  • Intermediate MS Excel

  • Intermediate MS PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word

  • Other analytical capabilities beneficial (e.g. Tableau, Cognos)

Experience

  • 3+ years working in a strategy or commercial strategy role

  • Experience in travel industry preferable

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal in English
