The HAS Head Office is based in Verwood, Dorset and employs approaching 200 people and we are currently looking for a Motor Claims Handler Credit Hire
What is this role all about?
Motor Claims Handler Credit Hire will monitor the progress of commenced hires through to point of case invoicing to the third party insurer on both repairable and total loss cases. To manage unexpected occurrences within the hire period in accordance with customer mitigation requirements and the Association of British insurers terms of agreement. To prepare file for payment pack production ensuring all necessary documentation is present for successful invoice recovery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
To perform initial check of new hires coming into the Motor Claims Handling Team and establish actions and timescales required.
To ensure customers are fully understanding of the credit hire process and aware of their obligations.
To accurately produce all necessary documentation and ensure its prompt and complete return.
To monitor progress of repairs at intervals stipulated in the Association of British Insurers (ABI) terms of agreement (GTA).
To keep third party insurers updated with the progress of claims accordingly to the ABI GTA.
To advise customers of best courses of action in order to fulfil their mitigation requirements.
To escalate claims to team senior and/or manager where a security or under recovery risk is identified.
To provide referrers and customers with regular updates on progress of claim.
To utilise systems, industry tools and publicly available web based resources as necessary to facilitate hire monitoring.
To have a high level knowledge of ABI GTA guidelines, in particular the higher monitoring requirements.
To work toward individual targets.
