Our UK operation employs approximately 1200 people and we’re currently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our UK Human Resources Team.

What is this role all about?

The primary mission of the Regional HR Business Partner is driving and supporting human capital strategy and high-value HR processes throughout their assigned business to ensure alignment with the overall corporate strategy. The incumbent is responsible for assessing business strategy and needs and communicating them to the HR COEs in order to formulate strategies and drive solutions to improve business performance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aligning global business strategies to HR strategies and initiatives, diagnosing business challenges, exploring alternative solutions and recommending best-fit solutions.

  • Management of succession planning across region with involvement at all levels. Partner with Talent Management COE in managingproper succession and high potential planning in line with the defined strategy and needs of the business.

  • Workforce planning and Recruitment: Work with business to develop a hiring and workforce plan based on a defined schedule and provide forecasts to relevant parties as required. This includes being the point of contact for requisition prioritizations as necessary.

  • Play a leadership role in coaching and mentoring Business Partners to ensure that agreed levels of effective service are delivered.

  • Partner with the Talent Management organization to ensure continual performance improvement within the corporate functions, driving processes to facilitate improvement.

  • Identify and recommend Training & Development needs. Communicate same to Talent Management.

  • Employee Relations – Provide HR consulting expertise to all levels of management and employees. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach, including investigations.

  • Ensure consistent discipline practices and legal compliance – Guide, train and direct management on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal and corporate compliance

  • Oversee local Labour Relations.

  • Support the migration of the business to a pay-for-performance culture linked to the Performance Management initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all Company policy’s and ensure a consistent practice across country

  • Working with the HR team identify problems central to business strategy and forecast potential obstacles to success

  • Act as a Change Agent, continually reinforcing the adherence to and utilization of HR tools, practices and policies as they relate to current and transformational initiatives.

  • Research and monitor employment legislation changes, update relevant documentation and ensure managers are coached/ developed accordingly.

What do we need from you?

Proven track record of at least 10 years’ experience in a Senior HR Business Partner position in a Global organization operating in international markets. Experience with multi-level matrix reporting and complex relationship responsibilities ideally gained in the service industry. Demonstrated ability to work with senior executives and a regionally dispersed workforce and effectively respond to their needs. Needs also to demonstrate a track record of success and have the ability to manage, grow and develop a team. Ideally successfully operated in a line management function with P&L responsibility.

  • Can take complex concepts and convey them to all levels of the business using language that is clear and precise.

  • Knows how to analyse organizational issues and to build strong and effective relationships with business leaders

  • Must possess the ability to influence and to push back in situations without a heavy reliance on formal authority

  • Needs to have a passion for being an integral part of the business

  • Have the experience and ability to work efficiently in a dynamic global business culture and in an international matrix organisation

  • Excellent financial acumen

  • Excellent Business acumen

Education

University Bachelor’s Degree in Human resource management and/or a relevant degree in an associated domain. MBA or Equivalent Experience is a strong asset, PHR/SPHR or similar professional Certification Preferred
